Welcoming from day one
No judgement, no showing off and no pressure to perform. The first goal is helping you feel comfortable enough to keep turning up.
I’m Timmo, a personal trainer in Hove. I help people get stronger, feel fitter and build routines that work in real life without making the gym feel intimidating.
My job is to make training feel clear, welcoming and effective from the first session.
I’ve been coaching in Brighton & Hove for 13 years and counting. Across more than 18,000 sessions, I’ve worked with complete beginners, busy professionals, parents, people returning after a long break and lifelong gym goers who wanted more direction.
The thing I care about most is helping people feel good in their body again. That might mean getting stronger, losing body fat, rebuilding confidence, improving energy or simply walking into the gym without feeling lost.
My approach is calm, structured and supportive. You will always know what you are doing, why you are doing it and how it fits into the bigger picture.
You do not need to already be fit to start. You need the right plan, the right pace and someone who knows how to meet you where you are.
No judgement, no showing off and no pressure to perform. The first goal is helping you feel comfortable enough to keep turning up.
Every session has a purpose. Your programme is planned around your goals, your current level and what your body needs next.
Training matters, but so do nutrition, daily habits, sleep, stress and accountability. The plan needs to fit your whole life.
Personal training is my work, but these are the things that keep me creative, calm and connected to life in Brighton & Hove.
Painting gives me a different kind of focus. It is slower, quieter and more creative than the pace of everyday life, which is exactly why I value it.
It reminds me that progress does not always happen in one big moment. Sometimes it is just one layer, one decision and one small improvement at a time.
I love surfing because it gets me outdoors, into the water and completely out of my head. It is physical, but it also forces you to slow down and pay attention.
You can be fit and strong, but the sea still keeps you humble. It teaches patience, timing and the ability to relax when you cannot control everything.
I like looking after plants because there is something simple and satisfying about watching something grow when you give it the right conditions.
It is very similar to health and fitness. You do not need perfection. You need consistency, care, patience and enough time for the results to show.
I enjoy good food, good drinks and a relaxed social life. I do not believe fitness should mean cutting out everything you enjoy or trying to live perfectly.
A big part of my coaching is helping people find a healthier balance. You can look after your body and still enjoy meals out, drinks with friends and the parts of life that make everything feel worthwhile.
If you want coaching that feels friendly, structured and built around your life, send a quick enquiry and I’ll reply personally.
